I HELP ARTIST'S MAKE THE RECORDS THEY'VE ALWAYS WANTED TO MAKE.

Send me a message with any questions, or to get started on your project!

I’ve been curious about why music sounds so cool for most of my life. I experimented with lots of instruments before settling on the drums in junior high, and was making records in friends’ basements by 14.

After many years of music school where I continued to try to figure out what made my favorite songs sound the way they did, I began touring and recording as a session musician with a wide variety of artists all over the world: from Lincoln Center to the Grand Ole Opry, Brazil to Sweden.

There were a lot of bad gigs, and there were a lot of terrible recording sessions.

I began to realize that all of the bad sessions had one thing in common: there was always a complete disconnect between the band and the artist’s vision. Either the vision wasn’t communicated clearly, was written off as naive and inexperienced, or was totally corrupted.

I also began to realize that all of the great music had one thing in common too: there was always a fierce advocate for the vision and direction of the music, who saw the whole picture and could communicate it clearly. Sometimes it was the artist themselves, but every other time it was the producer.

I wanted to be that person. That’s why my favorite songs sounded the way they did.

I have spent my entire career interpreting someone else’s vision, first as a sideman then as a session musician and producer. I take pride in being able to embody someone else’s musical voice, and thrive in chasing it down as far as it’ll go.

Songs I have produced have been featured on HBO, Showtime, ABC, CBS, Netflix and many more. They have been streamed over a million times, and released internationally on respected record labels.

I have the most fun helping artist’s make the records they’ve always wanted to make. If you have any questions about what that may look like for you, I’d love to talk about it.
